Flexographic

  • Flexographic printing ("Flexo") is a machine printing process that utilizes cylinders with a flexible rubber-like surface that prints with the raised area, much like surface printing, but with much less ink. This means the ink dries quickly and allows the machine to run at very high speeds. The finished product has a very smooth finish with crisp detail. Most typically, the end product is supplied on a roll with any quantity you would like per roll. We also have the capability to sheet the label individually. The size and shape of the label, number of colors printed and types of substrates are numerous.

Screen

  • A screen is made of a piece of porous, finely woven fabric (originally silk, but typically made of polyester or nylon since the 1940s) stretched over a wood or aluminum frame. Areas of the screen are blocked off with a non-permeable material "a stencil" which is a negative of the image to be printed; that is, the open spaces are where the ink will appear. The screen is placed on top of the chosen substrate. Ink is placed on top of the screen, and a squeegee (rubber blade) is used to spread the ink evenly across the screen. The ink passes through the open spaces in the screen onto the substrate; then the screen is lifted away. The screen can be re-used after cleaning. If more than one color is being printed on the same surface, the ink is allowed to dry and then the process is repeated with another screen and different color of ink.

Digital

  • Digital Printing is the latest technological innovation in the pressure sensitive market. This form of printing is greatly used for shorter run jobs. Using digital printing is not as fast as other methods, but the benefits offered are variable imaging and reduced setup costs. This form of printing can be durable for outdoor use or for a product/promotion for a short period of time. The quality is magnificent and could also be printed on a number of substrates using full color or spot color.
